For my husband, Ed who was laid off as a petroleum geologist in Nov. that he find work as soon as possible even in a down turned industry.
I have a dear friend who I first met when he became a patient of mine at Greenville Memorial. He has told me how wonderful everyone at Taylors has been to him and that so many pray for him and his family. He was diagnosed with a rare medical condition earlier this year and was preparing for a liver transplant when he received the devastating news that he has bile duct cancer and it not only will prevent him from receiving a transplant but is inoperable. This poor man has been in and out of the hospital so much this year. He had a bad infection earlier this week and had many of us here scared. Brian keeps people laughing and has this unbelievable spirit even when he\'s feeling his worst. He is preparing for chemo and radiation therapy to shrink the tumor and give him more time. I try to put on a happy face when I see him but, it breaks not only my heart, but the hearts of so many. He has told me that he is at peace with God and doesn\'t see his death, but a rebirth. The strength he has is unreal. He worries not of himself, but of others. I attend a different church as I live in Clemson. I felt the need to add my prayer to the wall at Taylors and have added his name at my own church. This man is so young and I feel bad because he cares for so many others. I pray for his parents who I see visit with him. I hope when my time comes to have a bit of the strength that he does.
To our patient: All of your nurses on your favorite floor love you and pray for you. You are the reason we come to work and do the job we do. You have given me the motivation to live each day to its fullest and to cherish and enjoy each person I meet! God Bless You
My husband Ian has two episodes of allergic reaction to medication he was taking. On Sunday he had itching and swelling in his hands and feet. Yesterday his upper lip and tongue became so swollen I had to take him to the ER. Blood work showed his white blood cell count is elevated, which the doctor said indicated an infection in his body somewhere. He is much improved this morning, but please pray that he will not have anymore episodes of swelling. Thank you!
Please pray for Officer Dave Dempsey who was shot in the head down the street from our church while answering a call on December 10 and is in the hospital. Pray for his family as they go through this difficult time. Pray that those in our church family will reach out to him and his family. He is there on Sunday mornings with Officer John Phillips to see that we all cross the street safely with the traffic.
