    Take Heart for the Journey

It seems everywhere we look these days lives are unraveling around the edges and many are wandering aimlessly as if there is no hope. Jesus warned us that our lives would not be without troubles, trials and tribulations. He said in John 16:33, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

In this session of Take Heart for the Journey we are going to accept His invitation to come to His table prepared before us in Scripture. We, as His daughters, will feed on His faithfulness through the powerful Word of God that continually encourages us to Take Heart for the Journey. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.”  (Matt. 5:6)

  • 6:15 pm | Room C126

    Courageous Women

Every woman knows it’s easy to lose sight of the heavenly power of God at work in our lives during times of hardship, exhaustion, stress, and change. But no matter the situation — whether it’s our health, marriage, finances, family or vocation — God has equipped all women with the power and influence to live freely and confidently. No registration required. Purchasing the book is optional.

  • 6:15 pm | Room B127

    Generous Justice

Using the book Generous Justice: How God’s Grace Makes Us Just by Tim Keller, we’ll search out God’s many commands to pour out mercy and bring justice to those in need.  From the Old Testament through the New, God is in the business of loving, saving, and equipping His people so they can love and save others.  Understand modern justice and human rights in a context that will resonate.  Hear testimony from believers in our midst who take these commands seriously and are pouring their lives out for the “least of these.”  Led by Kathy Dority, Minister of Connections
