Hebrews 10:19-25

Definition of the church: a “local, living, and loving collection of people who are committed to Christ and committed to each other.” – Mark Dever

The gospel cannot be fully realized in and through us apart from engagement with the church – the body of Christ.

The Gospel among us results in:

1. Cleansing from our sin as we enter the presence of God. | Hebrews 10:22
2. Confidence as we hold tight to the truth. | Hebrews 10:23
3. Community with one another as we “stir” one another up. | Hebrews 10:24-25

a. The gospel overcomes individualism.

b. The gospel overcomes entitlement. | Luke 22:14-28.

c. The gospel overcomes self-conceit and selfishness | 1 Corinthians 10:17-33
