Deacon Resources

The office of deacon is one of two offices of the church described in the New Testament. The qualifications for the office are stated in I Timothy 3. We believe every one of these qualifications are important. Along with the biblical qualifications, also included is the Church Covenant of Taylors First Baptist Church. All members agree to this covenant upon membership.

Pray

• Pray daily for the ministry of our Lord Jesus, for our membership and our staff.

Serve

• In all church-wide outreach opportunities
• In crisis, carry out duties faithfully
• Respond to specific requests

Missions

• Take a positive role in the mission opportunities of the church

Meetings

• To be in attendance at all regular and called meetings
