Summary
Simeon was a devout follower of God. The Holy Spirit revealed to Simeon that he would not die until he saw the Savior. The Spirit led him to the temple at the time that Mary and Joseph brought Jesus. Simeon praised the Lord for allowing him to see Jesus. Simeon knew that Jesus was the Savior for all people, not just the Jewish people. During that same hour, a prophetess named Anna came. She praised God and told all the others looking for God’s promised Savior that the Messiah had been born!
