Memory Verse

"God is a very present help." Psalm 46:1

Summary

The Israelites worshipped God through sacrifices at the tabernacle. King David wanted to build a temple but was told by God that David’s son, Solomon, would fulfill this task. Solomon began construction. The temple’s design included the Holy Place and housed the ark of the covenant in the Most Holy Place. God’s glory filled the temple. Solomon prayed and thanked God for His presence and acknowledged that He couldn’t be contained in a building.
