Summary
Israel was finally at peace. David decided he should build a temple for God, but God told the prophet Nathan that David should not do it. God promised that David would have a son who would build the temple, but in an even greater promise, God said that One would come from David’s family who would be the King forever. This One was the Savior God promised throughout the Old Testament. David praised God for His goodness and faithfulness.
