Tyler-Shaw Life Group is a gathering of individuals who have reached the “golden years,” experiencing joys and trials that come naturally at this stage of life. Most experience the joys that come with being grand- and great-grandparents, and yet, also experience the trials and frustrations that are commonplace in mature living, such as dealing with health issues or now living alone, having lost a dear spouse.

Tyler-Shaw is made up of thoughtful and caring members who reach out to one another, offering open arms of loving support, helping each other not only through the valleys, but also in celebrating life’s mountain-top experiences. Through many years of growing together in Bible study and numerous occasions of sweet fellowship, our bonds have grown strong.

We show our love for outreach by volunteering, serving in the community and at Taylors FBC through CEF’s Good News Club (Woodland Elementary), as well as through financial gifts to Taylors Free Medical Clinic, Brown Family Ministry, and Connie Maxwell’s Children’s Ministries. We’ve also had the privilege for the past several years of supporting the annual Christmas Shoes Ministry in our local community, and through occasional designated love offerings.

A special outreach of the class is the collecting of Bibles, devotionals, quarterly Bible study guides, and Christian material, which is delivered to Harvest Seeds of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, a ministry dedicated to the work started by our former class member, Mr. Steve Rutledge, of Luke 19:10 Ministries. Material is usually then shipped to India.

We would be honored to have you join us on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am in Room B132/B133. You will not find a friendlier, more loving environment for fellowship and Bible study.
