Adopt-a-Grad Testimony

Thank you to Josh Duncan and Alex Smith for the ideas and encouragement during this Adopt-a-Grad process. I adopted Jack Davis from the pictures on the tables in the Welcome Center on Graduate Sunday last May. I can’t help but believe that it was God’s Will for me and for him. His granddad was a dear friend of mine. We often played golf together and had an intentional friendship. Later with his sickness I would sit with him in the hospital, just to let him know I was there for him.

I also have a granddaughter who is a freshman at Texas State south of Austin, Texas. Your ideas and suggestions have helped me in my decision of needs for her and Jack. I recently went to Limestone College to hang out with Jack after one of his baseball games. It’s been a blessing to get to know him and spend time with his family during this year. — James Beard
