Engage Sunday was a celebration of what God is doing to make His glory known among all nations. The theme for our service was “Until ALL Have Heard.” We were blessed to be joined by several missionary families who shared with us about their lives and ministries.

The day began with a Meet & Greet with our missionary guests, who told stories of how God is at work through their ministries—bringing the nations to the knowledge of the Truth. The time together was greatly used by the Lord, renewing our missionaries’ passion for the harvest while stirring a new passion within our congregation as well.

Following the morning service, these missionary families graciously joined us for lunch, where they were able to share in greater detail the work that the Lord is doing in and through them for His glory. We heard about the Gospel being preached in places where it had never been preached before, about people being baptized from groups where there had never been a baptism, and about the ongoing need for more workers to join the harvest. We were challenged to pray faithfully, give generously, and go sacrificially.

During the morning worship service, we were blessed by the preaching of Jacob Boss, the newly appointed Vice President of Global Engagement for the International Mission Board. Jacob delivered a powerful and convicting message about the terrible lostness that exists in our world and the desperate need for the Gospel to reach those who have never heard. His message was both inspiring and challenging, urging us to obey Christ’s command and boldly proclaim the good news wherever we go.

We also had the privilege of hearing the incredible story of Mrs. Ruth Griffin, who, along with her family, answered the call to missions and served for 37 years in Southeast Asia. She recounted boarding a ship with her husband and two small sons, sailing for 21 days before reaching their destination. Their diligent and sacrificial service stands as a remarkable example for us all. Mrs. Griffin challenged us with these simple yet profound words: “Don’t miss it!”—a call to seize every opportunity to obey God’s call and serve Him wherever He leads. May God be exalted as all who heard respond in obedience!

We were also honored to have over 50 university students from the Palmetto Collective worshiping with us on Engage Sunday. These students are part of a two-year leadership development process, seeking to discern how they can most strategically engage in the fulfillment of the Great Commission after graduation. Pray that what they heard this weekend will deeply move their hearts. Ask the Lord of the harvest to raise up a new generation of laborers—including many from the Palmetto Collective.

The call to commitment on Engage Sunday was a call to say “YES” to Christ’s commission to make disciples of all nations. Until ALL Have Heard, all who know the Truth are called! Let’s make our “YES” more than just words. Let’s live it out—denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Jesus.
