Love Taylors Day was sweet time as almost 500 of church members served at various projects across our city. Our teams were able to serve our community partners ranging from local nonprofits, elementary schools, and our neighbors in need. Seeing the red shirts and smiling faces working for the Lord was a beautiful image of the church truly being the church to the community we live, work, and play in every day. All praise be to God for what He accomplished and a huge thanks to all those that served, prayed, and played a part in the day!
Our family gets excited about Love Taylors Day every year! Beginning in March, our children, Dani and Reed, start asking how much longer until Love Taylors Saturday! They enjoy getting to be a part of something bigger than themselves and appreciate the opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of others. This year, our Life Group served at Taylors Elementary School. Out of 32 volunteers, 12 were children! They all worked so hard! We freshened the paint on the school’s sensory sidewalk and railings, pulled weeds, and put down pine straw and mulch. We had the best time serving in this area and are so thankful for all of the volunteers who gave of their time and talents! — Ashley Mitchell
We had an amazing time serving at Greer Community Ministries. It was a really fun time serving with our Life Group and other young adults to show the love of Christ throughout our community. — Daniel Mayer
We served as a Life Group at the yellow mission house on Taylors Road! We spent the day organizing, cleaning, landscaping, and getting the house ready for a missionary family that will be moving in soon! It was a great time of serving together and hopefully it will be a blessing to the families that stay there in the future! I am so thankful to be a part of a church that believes in showing the love of Jesus to the local community. Seeing so many members of the church show up to serve and love on others was incredible – I’m so thankful for all that God is doing at Taylors FBC! — Allyson Pearce
The Johnson/Sharp Life Group spent time serving with iFace, a ministry that focuses on serving refugee families here in the Upstate. After spending time with families within this ministry and hearing more of what the ministry exists to accomplish, Dan Johnson shared “The Great Commission has now come to our backyard as people from other nations and countries move into our city.” What an opportunity we have to love our neighbors well and love the nations through them! – Vickie West
