Grateful for a Season of Preparation with Jared & Danika
Taylors First Baptist Church is fortunate to offer two Ministry Homes to accommodate missionaries while they are stateside. The purpose of these homes is to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained place of rest and refuge for missionaries, allowing them to return to their service encouraged, rejuvenated, and ready to further the Kingdom of God both here in our nation and abroad.
Please see below for an update from Jared and Danika,* who recently stayed in one of our Ministry Homes.
We are Jared and Danika, we have two children Mason and June.* Our sending church is First Baptist Church of the Deaf. We serve with the Deaf Affinity of the IMB as church planters among the Deaf in Africa.
We have been on a turn around assignment since December of 2024, during most of which we were blessed by Taylors First Baptist to stay at one of their mission houses. During this time, the Lord has opened up many doors to share the gospel, whether in our daily routines or on Thursday outreach with Taylors FBC. We have also been blessed by the commitment to pray for the harvest; it increased our dependence on God for our part in making His Son known and gave us a tool we can incorporate in our own ministry. Being hosted by Taylors FBC has been a big blessing for our family.
During the turn-around process, we have been delayed going to the field twice due to medical clearance. Though, it currently looks like we will be able to return in June.
Discipling key leaders and training them to reach their peers among the Deaf will be a key focus of our ministry; pray now that the Lord prepares us for this task.
- Pray that we continue to make the most of what God has given us now as we are back in the states.
- Pray for the Lord’s will to be done in the turn around process, especially the medical clearance.
