Serve Saturday Recap

We had our first Serve Saturday in January! Serve Saturday serves as opportunity for church members to not only serve our community for the morning, but also establish on-going relationships with community partners and the people they serve. Our hope is that while we serve, we would also share so that those we are serving would come into saving relationship with the Father. This Serve Saturday we served Bella’s Bags, Brook Glenn Elementary, and the Spring Grove Apartment community. Bella’s Bags packed 480 bags that will be delivered to students that face food insecurity. Volunteers were able to clean and do outside work at Brook Glenn to better the environment of the school for students and faculty. The Block Party hosted at Spring Grove, alongside Community Mission Baptist, served as a time of connection and encouragement for the community members that attended.
