Our recent church plant mission trip was a powerful time of service, outreach, and spiritual growth. The purpose of the trip was to support the planting of the Life Nepali Church in Jamestown, NC, while partnering with Life Community Church, missionaries Mike and Julie Lee, and Pastor Bishu and his wife Sarah Subba to build community, share the Gospel, and help lay a foundation for sustainable ministry.
Key Highlights
Community Engagement: We connected with local families through an International Food Festival, prayer walks, and neighborhood visits.
Service Projects: Our team helped with physical setup for the International Food Festival on Friday evening, where we had the opportunity to taste foods and fellowship with people from 18 different countries.
Worship & Teaching: Team members attended Life Community Church Mission Conference on Saturday morning where we were challenged and inspired by the teachings of Todd Ahrend. Our team also had the privilege of attending the Sunday morning worship services at Life Community Church as Pastor Bishu Subba was commissioned as Pastor of Life Nepali Church. Life Nepali Church was also recognized and commissioned during the worship services.
Partnership & Prayer: We spent time encouraging and praying with the Life Nepali Church members in their own service, offering spiritual and emotional support for their long-term vision.
Reflections
This mission trip reminded us of the power of the local church and the importance of being the hands and feet of Jesus. We returned with full hearts, inspired by the faith and resilience of the people we met and energized to continue supporting this growing church from afar. As we plan to return in the fall we look forward to further assisting in the church planting process.
