“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

In response to God’s clear commands to care for the fatherless, Mission 1:27 provides support and encouragement to those seeking to adopt or foster a child, to raise awareness of the needs of orphans in our community, and to provide involvement in ministries that impact orphans on a local level. Monthly Support Group

Wednesdays, 6:15 – 7:30 pm, during the school year. Childcare provided.

We hold a monthly support group for fostering and/or adopting parents. The goal of our support group is to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of our families while offering time for others to wrap around our families and grow in community with those who have a heart for fostering and adopting. We seek to encourage and support each other through the joys and difficulties along this journey.

How can you be involved?

If you feel a pull on your heart to be a part of this ministry, we have multiple opportunities to be involved. Come join us the first Wednesday of the month, make donations to the Giving Closet (currently in need of car seats, strollers, high chairs, and baby beds), talk to your Life Group about “adopting” a foster or adoptive family, and support them with dinner or gift cards or watching children for a parents’ night out. Most importantly, pray for our precious families who have answered the call to care for the orphans.
