One of the most important times in the life of a family is when a loved one passes away and the family gathers for a Celebration of Life Service with extended family, friends, and fellow church members to say their final goodbyes to their loved one. The importance of that service emotionally and spiritually provides opportunities for one of Taylors FBC behind-the-scenes ministry teams to shine. Our Funeral Usher team works not only to allow for orderly flow during family visitation and the celebration service, but also to provide personal comfort to family members and friends as their various needs are met.
One Usher Team member sums up well the thoughts of other team members as to why they so willingly give of their time and service, “It has allowed me to use my spiritual gift of service – serving and loving on families during their time of grief and guiding them through the time of celebration of life for their loved one with family and friends. Also, I have the pleasure of serving with a team of dedicated friends whose main purpose is to show the love of Jesus to grieving families.”
Taylors Funeral Usher Team, led by Ronnie Davis, is second to none. A local funeral director once said that our Usher Team is so well organized and efficient that it allows him to reduce the size of his staff that he normally would bring.
