Update from Kelley Williams Serving in Los Angeles

I have been in Los Angeles for two months. It has been a great start. I not only survived my first two west coast earthquakes, I didn’t even feel them. The transition to living in a big city was not as hard as I thought it would be. I have enjoyed my time here. Although I miss all of the people at Taylors, I love going to The Abiding. God is definitely at work there. We celebrated the church’s one year anniversary on September 15. It was exciting to be a part of this. I have started helping with the young adult gathering on Thursday nights. This has been a great way to get to know some of the people at church and start serving right away. I am still praying and talking with Trenton about other ways to serve The Abiding. Thank you to everyone who has prayed and supported me through this. I could not have done it without your prayers and God’s provision. Please continue to pray. 

Prayer requests:

• The Abiding needs to find a new place to meet. The rent went up for the current place. There are a couple of contenders, but nothing is official yet.
• The Abiding is going to start community groups within the next few months. Pray for the logistics and preparation of this.
• My job has been the hardest part about moving and all of the changes. Pray that I can joyfully finish out the school year and that God would provide a different job for next year.
