It was a blessing for our students to go to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters this past weekend! I was and still am so thankful to the Lord that we as a ministry had an opportunity to intentionally pour into these students over the course of four days without the distraction and busy-ness of daily life. Many students told me that they had the opportunity to reflect on their own spiritual health and assess where they are in their relationship with Christ. The SWO staff and counselors also played a key role in speaking into the lives of our students with joy and biblical conviction. They really did go above and beyond for our students, involving themselves in their lives, having good and hard conversations, and even being silly and playing around with them. The speakers took every opportunity during preaching to ground us on the word of God and challenge our students to take the next step in their walk with Christ. For all these reasons and more, I am so thankful for what the Lord did during this winter retreat and am expectant for what kinds of ripple effects these days will have in the lives of our students and our surrounding community in the future. Thank the Lord, and thank you, Taylors FBC family! — Blake F., Interim Minister of Students
The Student Winter Retreat this year at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters really stood out to me and made an impact on me in numerous ways. First, all of the leaders and staff really showed how much they cared about your walk with Christ and how they wanted to help you grow more in your relationship with the Lord. For example, throughout each day my small group leader, Riley, would walk around with me and my friends, play games with us, and we would all eat meals together. Another thing that really showed the Lord’s presence was the worship. It wasn’t just the music that I remember, it was being surrounded by followers of Christ who were singing praises to the one and only God who was and is to come. During this retreat I tried new things, met new people, and overall built a stronger relationship with the Lord. — Emerson McDaniel, 8th Grade
Winter Retreat 2025 was an amazing experience filled with worship, prayer, fellowship and a lot of fun! As we walked through Philippians the Lord revealed the abundant amount of joy that I find in him. No matter the circumstance we can always find joy in the Lord! While at camp I enjoyed hanging out with friends and all the activities such as tube sliding in the snow, laser tag, and even the ropes course despite being afraid of heights! For this to be my first retreat as a Taylors FBC student I would say it was a home run. I can’t wait to see how the Lord continues to work through this student ministry.

This weekend we got the opportunity to go to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for our winter retreat. During the worship sessions, we walked through the book of Philippians. After each session we got together in small groups that were different than our normal groups, which was really cool to get to listen to and talk about the sermon with people that aren’t normally in our small group. This weekend was special, to be able to build and develop deeper relationships with people and also to see everything that God’s doing in our student ministry!! It was definitely one of my favorite and most impactful retreats that I’ve been on! — Brooke Gillen, 12th Grade
